It'southward non perfect and struggles if you "pack it." I don't think it'south getting hot plenty though I do get the crema one looks for in an espresso maker. This is an espresso maker that is not bad to see if you will use information technology for a twelvemonth and then supercede it with something much nicer. This has been perfect for getting my caffeine needs while quarantining. I volition be upgrading in the future though.

I bought this in March to replace a different espresso machine that failed on me. This 1 was better but sadly it failed in early November. It breaks my heart because I love the crema, but at present I'one thousand getting my espresso from a Moka pot. No moving parts, like shooting fish in a barrel to clean, just as flavorful. Having said that, The machine may last longer for you. I understand it's kind of unpredictable. Be certain y'all do your scheduled maintenance!

I actually had high hopes for the De'Longhi ECP3220W but was and so disappointed that I returned within three days. This isn't my first espresso machine and so I'm familiar with how to use and I fifty-fifty read over the instructions. The espresso wasn't hot enough, it was weak, and the milk didn't froth nicely similar it did in my last machine. Even my very first cheap little starter espresso maker pulled a better espresso shot than this.

Very disappointing. I bought this and was and then excited for it and it worked great for a month and a half and then it just stopped working. Troubleshot it a bunch with the customer care people then they just said they would send me a new one. Got the new ane and a week after the milk frother stopped making the milk warm. So I've given up on this machine sadly. Am getting a refund and returning information technology and never want to run into it again. Big disappointment for such a big name company.

The pump started losing power 5 weeks after purchase and from there, it took 24h and 5 java making attempts to go from "is the car having a difficult time this morning?!?" to "damn, not a unmarried drop of coffee is going through the portafilter!!". I shouldn't have expected that a $120 espresso car to be anything else than soon-to-be landfill waste.

1. The auto doesn't actually measure out the amount of water per shot, you lot have to physically turn information technology off once you think a good amount of java is in your cup. two. The filter is not that easy to remove from its cup to clean iii. twisting the stupid handle to lock in place actually takes some endeavor, I literally accept to concur the machine with one arm and twist the handle into place to go information technology back in the middle. Barely vi weeks into owning it, it of a sudden stopped working. Unbelievable. I had almost returned it within the 30 days because there's a couple things I struggled with information technology (including how the price went down $xx right after ownership information technology) — certain wish I would have at present. Had my Krups espresso machine for 15 years — and information technology didn't even interruption, I gave it abroad! Thought Italians would know their drinkable and machines for it best, then figured DeLonghi was the way to go. Judge non. Could exist a "i-off" of grade — only doesn't modify how disappointed I am. :-<

The pump system on this model has decent force per unit area & makes better coffee with more control over the steaming of the milk than my previous espresso machine from another manufacturer. Our family makes about (3) lattes a 24-hour interval, only had it for 6 weeks but am pleased thus far with the De'Longhi ECP3220W. As a sidenote, the white finish goes well in our modernistic kitchen.

This machine was bought to supercede my Krups that died and the SOWTECH machine that I returned considering it LEAKED from the steamer tube. This motorcar is AWESOME! I was pleasantly shocked at the professional person style coffee the DeLonghi makes vs the other machines I take had. If y'all love a great cup of coffee, practice yourself a large favor and buy this machine. It only costs a little more than the other ones and it is worth it!!!! (information technology'due south a little more complicated than the one-time Krups or the Sowtech but nothing that tin't me mastered later on a few times making coffee.)

Works neat. Perfectly matches my white Baratza grinder and not at all a problem to clean. Just wipe information technology downward after every employ or once a solar day. The frother works well and a trick I use if someone doesn't desire hot foam is to drib a few ice cubes into the common cold milk before steaming. The cup warmer in top though made of overnice brushed steel - is a joke! Some other minus is that you need to remember to allow hot water out for 2 second from the wand before you stream. And brand sure yous plow the principal knob back to on or off before you switch the water off to prevent an accidental aftershot into your espresso! I final thing - a single grain of coffee is enough to block the hole then make sure you rinse the basket and hold it for a second or more under the faucet. The pump is quite powerful and it does NOT make a "weak espresso" - you lot just demand to know what you're doing ;-) BTW this is the exact aforementioned machine as the black, reddish, and all-steel models which have dissimilar model numbers. I had to return an ECP3120 (for a defective water reservoir) which was identical in features and performance otherwise to this ECP3220W.

This pulls a overnice shot of coffee. If it were meliorate able to maintain pressure level during steaming, I'd charge per unit it college. The automobile makes a decent cup of coffee simply after owning it i calendar month, it quit working. After a video telephone call with the manufacturer, I was told they would transport me a new 1. That was most a calendar month ago, the new car has not shipped and there has been little response to my emails. I am not sure what to do from here, but I wish I had asked for a refund at the start of this all.

This machine worked slap-up at first but has unfortunately been going downhill. Pros: Meaty Big reservoir Hot water option for making tea Frother seems to work very well High force per unit area Heats up fast Groovy placement of knobs Cons: Difficult to access the reservoir if you place it nether a cabinet since you need to take out the whole tank to properly fill it up Frother is quite difficult to clean up, but that goes for near of these machines I would like to add that when you first employ the hot water option that comes out of the frother arm, it comes out with high pressure level and can really scare you if yous're non prepared the first time. Overall, its a great quality machine and is difficult to beat for the cost.

I have nil bad to say most this auto or whatsoever of its accessories. Size and colour are perfect for my apartment kitchen. Coffee and steamed milk gustation first-class. These piece of work dandy if they are non leaking water from the head. If you observe your car leaks water from the head send it back. This one worked similar normal and makes peachy espresso shots and does a great job of steaming and foaming the milk. Even works with Oat milk. Make sure you understand the set-upward process before proceeding. Wash your tank thoroughly with soap and water before dashing forward. The instruction book is more detailed about the initial ready-upwardly procedure. It takes a bit of times to get the total hang of it, but you volition learn and get better, and you will savor a smashing espresso or cappuccino.

Disappointing production. I've given information technology 2 stars, because 'when' information technology does make coffee (that is a big 'when'), it'due south spot on. However, the double shot filter gets blocked. Doesn't dispense even plain water (no java pulverisation in the filter). The unmarried shot seems to work fine (most of the time, it acts up occasionally likewise). Be conscientious when unlocking/opening the holder with one of these blocked filters within. Steam will spurt out. Had the same trouble with 2 new machines (1 was sent as a replacement for the other). I'll be returning both and seeking a dissimilar espresso car.

I'll acknowledge, I'm somewhat of a coffee snob. I wanted to upgrade my Bella Pro with three.5 bar press for the DeLonghi's 15 bar press. I educated myself on how to make a smashing cup of espresso with a moderately priced motorcar. I bought a separate tamper because the one y'all become with this car is flimsy plastic. I have a burr grinder so I get a very fine, fresh grind. All of that still couldn't make this automobile an espresso machine. I experimented with at least 15 brews and each one was annoyingly weak and watery. I gave it half-dozen days and I'm done. I'1000 hooking my former machine support and returning this expensive baste coffee car.

Fantastic little espresso maker! I purchased this device to beef upwardly my morn java; this car is perfect for the individual looking to improve their morning routine. I would not recommend it for family unit employ, just for Dorm, apartment life it is perfect. I had been using a French press to brew coffee before I purchased this item; there is more maintenance involved in using this machine, but the java information technology produces is well worth the price, fourth dimension, and effort

You have to be very careful that you use coffee that is non very finely footing (such as espresso is supposed to be). This motorcar, altho rated at 15 bars, does non take the pressure level of many other machines...consequently the coffee tin can exist very irksome in coming thru. Other than that, this automobile is pretty good and makes nice coffee drinks, It volition take you a few tries to get used to the steamer.

This is the second DeLonghi espresso automobile I've owned. The first lasted less than vi months. But the price on this is right and I figured the cost savings from NOT going to Starbucks made information technology worth trying again. This model is slightly updated from the i I had, and a candy apple red color which makes me happy. I'm very happy with the shots I arrive the morning, and the steamer wand on this one is crawly. I get corking foam and overall I'k very happy with my forenoon cup. That said, things I'grand doing differently THIS time are: 1. using distilled water vs uncomplicated filtered water, and 2. Descaling once a month. I take no idea if either one of those things will help the motorcar last longer...I hope so. I'll try to remember to update this as time goes by. For now, I give it a solid five stars for ease of use and pure happiness in the morning. Information technology's modest, it's efficient, and information technology gets the chore washed without a lot of hoopla.

Product came defunct. The handle is supposed to be turned left, attached into place, then turned right until information technology locks. This handle, however, requires excessive force to lock into place (and I don't fifty-fifty think it locked). On height of that, the steamer works for a good 2 seconds earlier yous have to reset it. I am but in awe with this De'Longhi Espresso/Cappuccino Maker! I dear that I tin can make a single shot or a double shot of Espresso. I dear that I can make me the perfect Cappuccino. I practise find information technology is easier to use the espresso java pods than the finely ground espresso coffee. No measuring just put in your pod in the filter and add the right amount of water to your tank. It tastes just equally good every bit a java that your would get at a java bar without having to spend an arm and leg on a cup. I was very excited to get this!!! Java is drank in my house daily and my married man recently discovered home made lattes. I have had the chance to practise several times and it does have a bit of learning curve. The espresso part is easy. The milk function is a bit tougher. Later on a few tries you’ll be creating foam like a pro. The trick is the thicker crema that is used for latte art. I’m even so working on that. Milk steamer shoots out water instead of steam if y'all dont let it rut up long enough and the problem is you have to guess when information technology is considering the green light for "gear up" comes on before it actually is! Dont like the filter either it gets stuck in the machine and comes off the handle when you become to accept information technology out to clean. Bottom line this motorcar is a hurting definitely not worth spending over $100 on I returned and went for the $49 mr coffee espresso maker in ruby works only besides cheaper and not every bit much hassle! Hope this helps I read probably 100 reviews before I made this purchase wish I had read ane like this before wasting my fourth dimension!

I finally got a chance to experiment with the Delonghi ECP 3420 espresso auto. Let me start off past saying the kickoff time was trial and fault . Information technology was a learning experience, LoL .The automobile was really like shooting fish in a barrel to put together, but it was my first fourth dimension ever using one. It came with 3 filters, ii were single shots and the other double shots. The hardest challenge for me was trying to position the filter holder in place. Information technology was kinda difficult to get information technology to turn. There's a decent size h2o tank that goes into the back of the machine. It even has the fill line inside and so you lot don't have to guess. The tamper measuring scoop comes in handy besides. I can measure out the verbal amount of espresso for the filters. The machine has a steam dial and spout for the milk frother , which heats upward actually well. The frother is so much fun to employ , that'due south my favorite part !!! I accept had this for while now, and used maybe about ten times so far. One of the metal cups for the grounds doesn't sit right in the automobile now, after using that a handful of times. The other metallic (Silver) cup that holds the espresso grounds works so I accept to only utilise that one metal loving cup at present. That kinda sucks for the toll paid for this. The machine itself is still working fine. there is a learning bend to this however. And then be patient, and practise not be rough at all with the car or individual components of the machine. For fear you may intermission information technology, or function of it.

I have been looking at Espresso machines for years at present and finally treated myself to one. This seems like a great entry level machine and is pretty easy to get used to. The white and silverish looks really modern and sleek on the counter top and so I love that. After getting the hang of the machine, figuring out a proficient fresh grind, and the right pressure for tamping the grinds I tin can become a pretty swell shot! My ane complaint is with the steam wand. The shape is kind of awkward short and fatty. Also does not steam multiple cups in a row for me.

Wanted an espresso automobile to continue from spending coin at Starbucks. I.... Beloved.... coffee!!. ☕️ Originally wanted a unlike car only the price was too steep for the budget ($600). This machine has definitely grown on me. Only the machine comes in the packet, so be prepared to take to purchase the espresso shot glasses, steaming pitcher and a coffee grinder. Espresso is all-time when grounded before existence pressed. Yep, I was a barista while going to nursing school. I've had this machine for near three months now, and cleaned it once and it still works swell! ♥️

I got this for a small apartment and didn't expect to like it amend than my expensive big expresso machine at home, merely I exercise. I utilize the Illy expresso coffee and it is always delicious. Easy to use and clean.

This is the 8th or 9th De'Longhi I have owned, and the most expensive. All previous ones had been the basic multifariousness. The frother is definitely stronger--a positive. The handbasket fits very tightly in the handle and y'all have to struggle to get information technology in or out--a negative. Biggest negative--white color. I'1000 constantly cleaning it and wiping it downward since every concluding little drop of espresso shows.

Seems pretty weak heater isn't very strong, prepare light goes off halfway through the brewing, or steaming, pump is weak too if you pack the coffee in it may not even baste. The steamer wand blows liquid h2o out, virtually half a cup earlier any steam is generated. Managed to make near 5 or 6 cups of very weak espresso.

Didnt even work. Spent hours trying to troubleshoot the issue and never got it to work. I dont understand how they wait coffee to menstruum thru a tiny hole the size of a abrupt pencil tip. I idea the motor was going to explode trying to put that much pressure thru. Waste of my time waste product of my money. Sent it back and got a refund but lost money when all was said and done.

Past far the all-time espresso auto I've purchased, great value. Espresso is smooth & creamy. Still need to pre-heat the milk for lattes etc.

So far it's easy to use and hasn't been difficult to clean. The filters fit in very snuggly, which is dandy but a niggling hard to swap them out. Luckily I will be making a double shot almost every fourth dimension. The milk frothing/steaming wand seems a little brusk, just I bought a smaller pitcher so it'south working better than frothing the milk in a mug. I got the automobile in white and it looks very make clean, and doesn't have up much room in my small abode. I will be interested to run across if the drinking glass warmer works, once I get glasses, because the plate doesn't seem to get very warm. My uncle has a less expensive machine from another maker and I honestly don't run across a huge difference. Just this will definitely work and I am glad I got information technology on sale. I accidentally purchased 2, but a friend bought the extra one off me. She seems to similar it besides so far.

Not sure how it works as an espresso machine. Filled reservoir and all the water tuckered onto counter and floor. Picture shows seal that is in sideways. Tried for an hour to go it into correct position. Gave up and I am sending back

Let me say outset that I am a novice at pulling espressos and how espresso machines work. I'm teaching myself how to be a barista by watching a lot of YouTube videos. Anyhow this is my 2d automobile. The showtime motorcar I sent back (no crema at all). Information technology was dirt cheap for a reason. This machine was easy/foolproof. I glanced over the instructions, turned it on and bam! Information technology produced the most cute crema yous've ever saw and my latte was so skilful. Now I gave 5 stars for now. I may change that to 4. And my reasoning is the steaming feature may non exist powerful enough for latte art. I'm however working on this and so it could very well be me. Also although the coffee is hot I prefer mine piping hot like java shops. Again this could be me as I am a niggling slow getting to the finish result. Overall I'k very happy and excited with this motorcar and stay tuned because I will be back to give an update!

This has replaced i that was onetime but yet going so I gave it to charity and treated me to a new one. This works peachy for both espresso and cappuccino. I am a big fan of DeLonghi with many of its modest kitchen appliances.

I have had this auto for 2 months and used it to make my caramel latte every morning, this one is and then far the all-time I've ever endemic. Unlike nearly other brands or models in the price range of $150 to $200 (my experience), this automobile heats and foams upwards milk super fast (I use coconut almond milk). What'due south always better is that it does not scream similar a mad monster. There is no water leak anywhere either, very well built! Simply make sure that the water reservoir is pushed all the way to the bottom earlier you turn on the machine every time because information technology fits in the machine perfectly and tightly, it won't driblet all the way in by itself or the pump would but exist pumping air. I highly recommend De'Longhi ECP3220 to all Espresso and Latte lovers!
